My name is Meghan Hadfield. I have been teaching Yoga around the Ottawa/Gatineau area since 2015 and recently completed school to become a Yoga Therapist. I have been working one-on-one and in groups with students to help return the agency in coming back to their bodies. To move from what can become busy-ness in the mind, to the presence of the body. Noticing what the body needs. Discovering the wisdom that is already there. Connecting to sensation, rather than pushing past or through it. From my variety of education and experience in interoceptive practices, somatic movement, Pain Care Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Ashtanga, Yin, Asanas for Autism & Special Needs, and more, I have come to cultivate a practice of my own that adapts in every class and environment based on the person(s) in the room, what they are experiencing, and what they are wanting from the practice. In classes with me, you can expect to be encouraged to follow the body – wherever you feel pulled to, and however you feel like moving. Honouring the wisdom in your own body. Always open to all levels.
